(Fargo, ND) -- The Fargo Sanitary Landfill will be closed Friday due to high wind speeds.
Officials from the city say debris from trucks cannot be properly maintained during times of high winds and often blows away from the landfill, causing less than ideal conditions.
Residential garbage collections will continue as scheduled, and the Household Hazardous Waste Facility will be open and operating normal hours.
The landfill is expected to reopen as scheduled Saturday.
