(Fargo, ND) -- The Fargo Police Department's online reporting system is now live.

Community members can use the system to report low level, low priority crimes online. The department says the resource can be used when there is no public safety risk, if the reporting party isn't witnessing a crime in progress, or if the suspect isn't known.

Chief David Zibolski says examples would be shoplifting or thefts from vehicles. The system is also a good way to inventory valuable property, especially if it has a serial number or means to be tracked.
