Minor damage after West Fargo laundromat fire

(West Fargo, ND) -- A two-alarm fire at a West Fargo laundromat has caused minor damage.

The blaze broke out at Dasch's Duds Thursday night in the 100 block of Cheyenne Street in the downtown area. The building houses a laundromat and hair salon.

“The quick thinking of the patrons and proper use of fire extinguishers helped prevent what could have been a much larger fire,” said Deputy Chief Thomas Clark. “The business supplied adequate extinguishers to respond to the incident.”

Two commercial dryers and contents were damaged. There is no structural damage to the building. Crews disabled the dryers before departure. No emergency personnel were injured.
