Grand Forks Police Department: Attempted Murder suspect in custody following March stabbing

(Grand Forks, ND) -- The Grand Forks Police Department says an attempted murder suspect is in custody. 

The department says 29-year-old Grand Forks resident Joshua Franklin was arrested and charged with Attempted Murder. Additional charges are possible, and will be reviewed by the Grand Forks County States Attorney's Office.

On March 26th, Grand Forks police responded to an apartment in the 1700 block of Cottonwood Street after a 911 caller reported a male victim with a laceration to his neck. Officers say the injury was caused by a knife. The victim was taken to Altru Hospital by ambulance for treatment. Officers say Franklin was a roommate of the victim and at the apartment at the time of the investigation.
