(Fargo, ND) -- Health officials say bird flu has been detected in Cass County.

The North Dakota Department of Health announced Wednesday evening that a case was identified in a backyard mixed flock of birds inside the county. The Red River Zoo has responded by taking all their birds off of exhibit.

Cases have also been confirmed in Lamoure, Dickey, and Kidder Counties. Minnesota has seen nine counties with Bird Flu to this point, with Iowa being the hardest hit state overall in the resurfacing of the flu.
