(Fargo, ND) -- A Fargo man has been found not guilty of several charges related to a domestic disturbance, including murder.
Court records show 29-year-old Cody Plumlee has been found not guilty of murder, aggravated assault-domestic violence, burglary, and reckless endangerment.
Fargo police originally responded to a disturbance in December 2020 in the 700 block of 26th Street North where a witness said Plumlee had shoved his girlfriend, Kirsten Knaus, down a flight of stairs after a fight over keys to a vehicle they both used. Knaus was knocked unconscious and later died after being pulled off life-support. Documents say Plumlee admitted to pushing Knaus because she hit him in the forehead with a frying pan.
Plumlee was however found guilty of theft of property, false information to law enforcement, and reckless driving.
