Fargo Teacher's Union endorses five candidates for Fargo School Board election

(Fargo, ND) -- The Fargo Education Association has released their candidates of choice for the upcoming Fargo School Board election.

The FEA endorses the following candidates: Melissa Burkland, Katie Christensen, Greg Clark, Nyamal Dei, and Lyn Telford. You can find a link to a video announcing the endorsements by clicking here. 

 The union held conversations with the 15 school board candidates, and says those discussions led them to endorse the five candidates listed above. The FEA typically does not endorse candidates, and says their mind was changed for this election cycle because of four factors...

• Because of the crowded field, the FEA wanted to signal to community members who they supported.
• The FEA's belief in the quality of the candidates. "We think these five candidates are ones that deserve your vote."
• Endorsing candidates in the past has lead to successes, in the eyes of the FEA
• Using the organizational power of the FEA will benefit the endorsed candidates.
