New Fargo non-profit aims to help people who've experienced trauma

(Fargo, ND) -- A new non-profit venture has opened in Fargo. It's called "People's Rising Academy".

"Actually it started from my life change. Personally about eight years ago I met Dr. Myles. I used to be over three hundred pounds and I was also super unhealthy. I also lost some children and I was going through a really rough period in my life and I met him and he has completely transformed my life," said Jodi Plecity, the founder and co-owner of the new venture.

The other partner and co-founder is chiropractic doctor Myles Brooks. They describe the care they offer as a "holistic-based research-backed, patient-centered, life change program aimed at helping people rise up to optimal based health. Plecity said the non-profit is geared toward helping people who have been through life traumas, or who have been dealt a "bad hand". To learn more, check out their website below.
