(Perham, MN) -- Organizers say they are moving forward with a fundraiser for Lucia Garcia following her death.
Garcia's death was reported by family members early Thursday morning. She was shot at Plaza Azteca two weeks ago while holding her seven-month-old son, Dominique.
Authorities say the baby's father was the shooter and died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Dominique is expected to make a full recovery.
Organizers of the fundraiser, who are family members of Garcia, say they want to help cover the expenses for her and her child. The fundraiser will take place Sunday, June 12th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Church of St. Henry in Perham, Minnesota.
