(Grand Forks, ND) -- A ribbon-cutting ceremony is marking the beginning of a new mission at Grand Forks Air Force Base.

The celebration held Tuesday honored GFAFB's selection as the new home of the Space Development Agency's first Operations and Integration Center for Tranche One of the National Defense Space Architecture.

Senators Kevin Cramer and John Hoeven, and Representative Kelly Armstrong spoke at the ceremony. The North Dakota Republicans held a community meeting afterward at Minnesota Power Cooperative.
