Carrington Police Chief laid to rest Monday

(Carrington, ND) -- The Carrington Police Department will lay to rest one of their own Monday.

Chief Brandon Sola was killed in an off-duty motorcycle crash near West Fargo on June 28th. Officials say Sola lost control when his motorcycle began to wobble, and he was thrown from it.

A police escort will come from Harvey to Carrington via Highway 52, go down Highway 281 to Jamestown, then end at Fargo where he will be laid to rest at the Fargo National Cemetery. The procession is expected to run through Carrington from 7:50 a.m. to 8:10 a.m. Residents are encouraged to gather along Highway 281 to also pay their respects.
