(Fargo, ND) -- A North Dakota Department of Transportation official says construction projects across Cass County are well on their way or nearing completion.
North Dakota Department of Transportation Professional Engineer Joe Peyerl joined WDAY Midday to speak about some of the remaining projects still ongoing in our region. Peyerl says the county is currently in the midst of the heaviest periods of construction.
"Usually August here, that's about the thick of it, "said Peyerl, referencing the time when most work is being done, "Sometimes we try to get things done earlier, before school, if its an urban project."
Peyerl also spoke about two Fargo projects occurring on I-94 near the interchange, which he says is nearing completion. The engineer says the median guardrail project and the median barrier project will a precursor for a construction project beginning next year.
"We are putting in some crossovers for our reconstruction project next year at the West Fargo interchange, "said Peyerl, "If you see contractors working the median there, that's what they are building."
