(Moorhead, MN) -- A Moorhead man is facing arson charges in connection with an apartment fire.

55-year-old Boyd Wurner is charged with three counts of first-degree arson. The blaze broke out Sunday morning in a first-floor apartment unit in the one-thousand block of 32nd Avenue South.

Court documents say three separate fires were started in different areas of the apartment, and a smoke detector had been removed from the wall.

An active warrant is out for Wurner's arrest. Charges were filed through the Clay County Courtroom.
