Fire damages Fargo apartment garages

(Fargo, ND) -- Fargo Firefighters battled a fire in a row of detached garages late Tuesday night.

The fire at 825 42nd St. S. was reported just before 11:30 p.m. When crews arrived, flames were shooting through the roof of one garage and had extended into a second unit. Fire crews had the fire knocked down within 20 minutes.

Two of the garages sustained significant fire damage and several others had smoke damage.  A vehicle parked in one of the garages sustained significant fire damage. 

The cause of the fire is under investigation. A damage estimate is not yet available.
