Gate City Bank receives highest employer recognition award from U.S. government for National Guard support

(Fargo, ND) -- A company headquartered in Fargo has been presented with the highest employer recognition award provided by the U.S. government.

"The fact that they were actually able to win it is just phenomenal and I can't even describe how proud I am of working with such an awesome company," said Bleau Hoge. 

Hoge is a North Dakota National Guard Sergeant and employee of Gate City Bank in Bismarck. He nominated his employer to receive the "Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award". The award is given to employers who provide "exceptional" support to employees who are members of the National Guard and Reserve. Each year the prestigious honor is awarded to only 15 employers in the nation. Gate City Bank was chosen out of 2,777 nominated employers.
