Congressman Kelly Armstrong tells independent challenger Cara Mund to "be who you are, be authentic"

(Fargo, ND) -- Congressman Kelly Armstrong is criticizing his independent challenger Cara Mund following their debate Tuesday night.

"I think there was a clear distinction drawn. I think, listen, my overall, be who you are, just be who you are, be authentic. Otherwise you have to pretend your whole time and I don't think anybody after watching that will think that, I mean she is not liberal, and that is just the reality of where we are at. Which is fine. Everybody is allowed to run and have their positions but be honest about who you are and why you are running," said Armstrong.

Armstrong says he can't find a conservative policy that Mund has ever supported, and asserts Mund would vote to "codify" Roe versus Wade if elected to congress.

Armstrong made the comments while appearing on "What's on Your Mind". Mund has not responded to multiple interview requests from WDAY News First.
