(Cass County, ND) -- A Cass County District 2 Commission Candidate is looking for your vote in the upcoming November General Election.

Tony Grindberg is a former North Dakota state senator who served for 22 years and former Fargo city commissioner who served for a single term. He joined WDAY Radio to share how his experience in local and state politics would benefit the county,

"When I looked at the opportunity of my experience of both state and city, and the fact that two other commissioners on the county side are going to be term limited out in two years... the feedback I was getting, my experience would really lend well to serve on the county commission, "said Grindberg, "So that was the compelling reason to jump into the county commission race."

Grindberg spoke on the importance of involving all communities in county business, not just Fargo or West Fargo. The candidate says he wants to focus on those smaller communities, give them a voice at the table, and make them strong.

"Where can the county be more involved with helping those communities, wherever it is appropriate from the county and the city," said Grindberg, "Getting back to my roots, always spend more time in rural communities, understanding their wants and needs and wether that's continued advocacy for various programs in the legislature, how they parlay into communities into Cass County."
