Fargo PD looking for recruits for fourth class of Police Academy

(Fargo, ND) -- The Fargo Police Department is actively seeking recruits for the fourth class of the Fargo Police Academy.

The Fargo Police Training and Development Unit will work with each candidate and the following minimum requirements need to be met to apply:

  • Individuals must be at least 21 years old by the start of the Academy.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Have successfully completed 60 college semester hours or credits (in any subject).

The Fargo Police Academy is a 13-week academy certified by the North Dakota Peace Officer Standards and Training Board. Candidates must successfully complete all pre-hire requirements prior to acceptance into the Academy.

Upon successful completion of the Academy, graduates will be eligible for hire as a licensed Peace Officer within the state of North Dakota and will be extended a full offer of employment. Recruits are compensated throughout their duration of the Academy with a $59,439 annual starting salary for 2023 Academy Recruits and receive a comprehensive benefits package.
