(West Fargo, ND) -- Plenty of decisions on big issues are expected to be put in motion Monday night at the West Fargo School Board meeting, including the possibility of adding to the teaching staff at one school.

The Board is expected to vote on the possibility of adding 1.5, or one full and one part time reading teacher each to the staff at Willow Park Elementary School.

"These reading teachers will work within the existing WFPS reading program to offer reading interventions and extend differentiated instruction in the classrooms at Willow Park Elementary," reads the recommendation from District Officials on adding the positions.

Adding the two positions would cost West Fargo Schools roughly $105,000, due to salary and benefits associated with the roles. The funds would be covered by Willow Park’s Title I Carryover funds.

Other key items on the agenda include possible contracts with groups to assist in reporting emails and administer security awareness training, and develop plans, specifications and bid documents, and provide construction administration for the expansion of Horace Elementary to a 4-track school. The anticipated cost of construction is $2,800,000.

The board will also discuss approving Starion Bank as a new WFPS financial institution and approving the Joint Powers Agreement with Cass County Career and Technical Education.
