Fargo Schools band teacher facing corruption of a minor, child porn charges resigns

(Fargo, ND) -- A Fargo Public Schools band teacher facing several charges involving an inappropriate relationship with a student has resigned from his role with the district.

The District has reported that Sebastian Tackling has resigned from his position as Band Teacher at Fargo South High School, effective as of December 5th.

Tackling, who had been with Fargo schools for over 12 years, has been charged with corruption of a minor and possession of child pornography related to a supposed inappropriate relationship with a then 17-year-old student.

Tackling had been previously on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation into the charges. The school board will vote at their December 13th meeting to accept his resignation.
