Fargo man charged with stealing car, DUI in chase with police

(Fargo, ND) -- A Fargo man is facing charges after police say he stole a car and led officers on a chase.

The Fargo Police Department tells WDAY Radio that they located a stolen vehicle Monday taken by 41-year-old Willshaun Boxley using a laptop transmission from inside the car.

After attempting to pull over Boxley, he took off on I-29 and crashed the vehicle after attempting to exit on 40th Avenue North.

Officers say he then attempted to run from the scene on foot, but officers followed his footprints and caught him a short time after.

Boxley is currently being held at the Cass County Jail. He is charged with stealing a car and property, fleeing police in a vehicle, reckless driving, DUI, and driving under suspension.
