(Fargo, ND) -- The season's first winter storm has led to multiple school districts in the area planning ahead for Wednesday.

The Fargo Public School District will be closed Wednesday due to inclement weather. Due to the cancellation, FPS will use the storm make up day built into the school calendar of Monday, April 10th and noted that all students and staff will be expected to be in school on that day.

All school buildings in the Moorhead Area Public Schools will be closed Wednesday, but students in grades E-12 will be required to complete an eLearning day.

As for West Fargo Public Schools students, they too will be expected to complete a remote learning day thanks to the snowfall and conditions here in the FM Metro.

All three districts have also announced that any before or after school extra curricular activities have been canceled for Wednesday as well. West Fargo noted that the Hulbert Aquatic Center and the West Fargo Sports Arena will remain open for outside rental clients only. YMCA programming at the Early Childhood Center will remain open too, though all after-school care programs offered by the YMCA in other WFPS school buildings are closed.

Meanwhile, all Boys and Girls Club of the Red River Valley locations and offices will be closed Wednesday as well.
