Man arrested after stabbing co-worker at Spiritwood site in Jamestown

(Jamestown, ND) -- A man is recovering in Jamestown Regional Medical Center after being stabbed multiple times in the stomach on the job at the Spiritwood construction site early Friday morning.

The Jamestown Police Department tells WDAY Radio 29-year-old Santos Erazo Lara was taken into custody after the incident that occurred a little before 1 a.m.

Officers say Lara specifically targeted the victim, and that there is no danger to the community. Lara is from Honduras, and came to America to work on the Spiritwood project. His immigration status is not known at this time.

The victim is said to have suffered non-life-threatening injuries, but as of Friday morning his condition has not been disclosed.
