(Fargo, ND) -- Saturday night was an eventful night at the Cass County Jail, but not because of booking someone who broke the law or a scuffle among inmates.

The Cass County Sheriff's Office tells WDAY Radio that around 9:30 p.m. the Red River Regional Dispatch Center received an anonymous tip from an individual advising of a bomb threat to the Cass County Jail.

A security perimeter was then immediately established and the facility went into lockdown mode. With the assistance of the Red River Regional Drone Team, as well as the Fargo Police Department EOD bomb dog, a safety sweep was conducted in and around the facility, and no items of concern were located.

"The Cass County Sheriff’s Office continues to work through the specifics of this incident as this investigation moves forward," said Sheriff Jesse Jahner in a statement released to WDAY Radio. "If you have a family member or friend currently incarcerated, rest assured the Cass County Sheriff’s Office will continue to do everything within its power to ensure their safety."

The Sheriff's office does ask that if anyone has information related to the bomb threat, their office is encouraging you to contact them at (701) 241-5800.
