(Pelican Rapids, MN) -- No injuries were reported after several gunshots and a SWAT standoff led to an arrest in Otter Tail County over the weekend.

The Otter Tail County Sheriff's Office tells WDAY Radio deputies responded to reports of five to six shots fired at an apartment complex off Northwest 6th Street in Pelican Rapids around 2:51 a.m. Saturday.

When deputies arrived, the smell of burnt gun powder and a bullet hole were found in a wall at the apartment complex. That's when law enforcement encountered the suspect, 38-year-old Jordan Pierce, who had a rifle in his hand at that time. He retreated back into his apartment, leading officials to clear the complex and have residents from the apartments seek refuge at Pelican Rapids High School.

After some time and the arrival of several other agencies, including Otter Tail County SWAT, Pierce surrendered to law enforcement. He faces numerous charges, including Felony Reckless Discharge of a Firearm within a municipality, carrying a firearm while under the influence of alcohol, Felony Threats of violence, and 1st degree criminal damage to property.

Pierce is currently being held in the Otter Tail County Jail.
