Fargo Police Department: Suspects in attempted Gunderson's robbery arrested in Michigan on Conspiracy to Commit Robbery charges

(Fargo, ND) -- Two suspects in an attempted robbery are in custody in Michigan following a chaotic morning in Fargo and West Fargo on Wednesday.

The Fargo Police Department is announcing the arrest of two suspects who are accused of attempting to rob Gunderson's Jewelry Store on Wednesday. Authorities say Dajuan Marcellus, a 32-year-old resident of Detroit, Michigan, and Kordaryl Cross, a 32-year-old resident of Detroit, Michigan, were both arrested on Thursday on the charge of Conspiracy to Commit Robbery. The suspects were arrested in their home state, after agencies notified the Michigan State Police.

“I want to compliment the quick response of our officers and the tenacious investigative work of the FPD Criminal Investigations Division. Our team worked collaboratively with federal partners and other law enforcement agencies to quickly identify the suspects involved in this brazen crime, leading to the arrest of these two individuals,” said Fargo Police Chief Dave Zibolski.

Documents released by the Fargo Police Department say several suspects approached the business and attempted to enter it at around 10:30 a.m on Wednesday, displaying a handgun in the process. Investigators say a security guard quickly locked the doors, causing the suspects to return to their vehicle and leave southbound on Veterans Boulevard. No injuries were reported from the incident, but it did cause multiple local schools to go on lockdown temporarily. You can read our original reporting by clicking here
