(Moorhead, MN) -- A dispute between Republican Party factions is being played out in court.

The Minnesota GOP has filed a lawsuit in Clay County charging Edwin Hahn with fraudulent misrepresentation.

Hahn was removed as Clay County GOP chair last year by the executive committee, but has refused to step down. Hahn has convened an alternate group, who declared him the chair.

State party leaders say Hahn has been unlawfully representing himself as the official county chair, including sending out statements and news releases on party letterhead.

Hahn has declared in a court filing that he is still the rightful head of the Clay County GOP.
