(Fargo, ND) -- Just months after re-opening their new, state-of-the-art facility at Southpointe Plaza in South Fargo, North Dakota's only Down syndrome achievement center is facing another challenge.

The center to to social media to announce that a sprinkler break that happened on Wednesday has caused 'significant' water damage to the facility.

"Our team has continuously shown resilience as we continue to move forward to impact our families," said GiGi's in a statement announcing the damage in their Facebook page. "Thank you for your patience as our team is actively working out a plan to get families back in the door for programs. We appreciate your flexibility and ask that you check your email and our online calendar for program updates."

This comes after the center had to be rebuilt following a massive fire back in May of 2021 that leveled the building. GiGi's operated out of a temporary home until this past October, when the new center was completed and opened to the public.

No word yet on just how long it will take for the center to be fixed back up and reopened completely.
