National Weather Service: spring flooding for Fargo Moorhead at "moderate chances or higher"

(Fargo, ND) -- A meteorologist with the National Weather Service says the FM metro is among the communities along the Red River that could see minor to moderate spring flooding.

"We have now, Fargo, Oslo, and Pembina in there with moderate chances or higher, pretty decent snow pack still in southeastern North Dakota," said Tim Lynch.

On a scale of one to 10, with 10 being the most concern, Lynch puts his level of concern at 6 when it comes to potentially problematic flooding along the Red River

Lynch says late winter snowfall or above average spring rainfall could quickly change the outlook.
