Updated: Fargo Police Department confirm infant is safe in apparent stolen vehicle and foot pursit

(UPDATE: 6:19 p.m) -- The Fargo Police Department is clarifying details reported by witnesses earlier today.

The department says they did not detain several individuals earlier today as previously reported, but did conduct a traffic stop based on a report of a stolen vehicle with an infant inside. Authorities say they received the report around 3:20 p.m, and learned there was an infant inside the vehicle. The vehicle was stopped by authorities around 3:33 p.m near 17th Ave N. and Broadway, who say the driver, Michael Warren (26) from Fargo, exited the vehicle and attempted to flee. Warren was later apprehended at 3:38 p.m. 

The Police Department says the child was found safe inside the car. 

Warren was charged with Reckless Endangerment, Felonious Restraint, Theft of a Motor Vehicle (C Felony), Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor, Fleeing in Motor Vehicle, Preventing Arrest and Criminal Trespass.

Fargo Police Officers were seen detaining multiple individuals near Broadway and 15th Ave N. The reason why the detentions were made is unknown to the public at this time.
