(Mooreton, ND) -- We now know the names of the two men killed in a four-vehicle crash in Richland County early Monday morning.

In a update to a story we first brought to you Monday, the North Dakota Highway Patrol has announced that 45-year old Rory Campbell of Wahpeton and 51-year old Gerald Wolter of Mantador were the two men who died outside their vehicles trying to hook up a tow strap to remove a car that hit the ditch. That's when another car then hit both victims and both vehicles, before side-swiping another pickup.

Campbell and Wolter died at the scene, while the passenger in the car that hit the ditch, 50-year-old Corey Myers of West Fargo, was airlifted to Fargo with serious injuries.

The driver of the truck that hit the victims, 50-year old Wade Mund of Wahpeton, suffered minor injuries.

The crash is still under investigation. Charges are pending.
