Update: Power restored to nearly 10,000 residents in Fargo as winter storm hits region

(Update: 9:38 p.m) -- Approximately 87 people are currently without power in Fargo, as the largest outages have been largely restored.

(Update: 9:20 p.m) -- Approximately 2,524 people are currently without power in Fargo, but additional outages have appeared in scattered areas within the city. 

The largest outage is still in the area between 25th St. N. and Main Ave in North Fargo, south of the rail-yard near NDSU. However, some outages have spread west of 25th St. N and Main Ave,  and North of 12th Ave N near NDSU.

(Fargo, ND) -- Several thousand people are without power in Fargo as a winter storm hits our area. 

The outage was reported by Xcel Energy, who say an estimated 9,709 people are impacted across eight different outages across the city. The largest outage is reported in the area between 25th St. N. and Main Ave in North Fargo, south of the rail-yard near NDSU. As of this publication, four outages have been corrected at this time, and a damage estimate is being done to fix the remaining ones.
