Wisconsin man arrested on several warrants in Moorhead

(Moorhead, MN) -- A Madison, Wisconsin man with several outstanding warrants from other states, including murder, has been arrested in Moorhead.

The Moorhead Police Department tells WDAY Radio that 36-year-old Lloyd Hayes faces a 1st degree premeditated murder charges in Illinois, and a 2nd degree aggravated robbery charge in Wisconsin.

Hayes, who is being held in the Clay County Jail awaiting an extradition hearing, was arrested in Moorhead Wednesday night.

He also boasts a long criminal rap sheet, including criminal convictions for armed robbery, domestic abuse, drug crimes and felony assault.

It is unclear why Hayes was in Moorhead, and the details surrounding his arrest have not been made available.
