(Fargo, ND) -- The Fargo Fire Department is on scene after a blaze broke out near a mobile home in South Fargo early Thursday morning.

Crews first arrived on scene around 2 a.m. to reports of flames and smoke coming out of a shed next to the mobile home in the 700 block of Countryside Trailer Court, a block away from 25th street south in South Fargo.

"Residents inside the home realized the fire had started, and then got out as a safety measure," said Battalion Chief Lee Soeth in comments made to WDAY Radio.

No injuries were reported, and the shed was nearly burnt to the ground. Luckily, no damage from the fire spread to the house. There was one issue though that came up when crews initially got to the scene.

"I think the biggest problem, which unfortunately happens after a snow storm like we just got, was that the fire hydrant we were trying to attach to was buried under three feet of snow," said Soeth. "So this is a reminder to dig those out if you can so when we make calls like this we can put the fire out as quickly as possible."

Soeth adds at this point the department is still calculating the damages to the shed and what was inside. A cause for the fire also remains under investigation.
