Fargo public works manager says crews have upper hand in snow removal following spring storm

(Fargo, ND) -- The public works services manager for the City of Fargo says his crews were able to quickly get the upper hand on the snow dumped in this week's storm.

"Thankfully the storm didn't quite give us as much snow as they were originally projecting. But yesterday (Wednesday) we were able to move into the residential areas and plow those roads," said Paul Fiechtner.

Fiechtner says road crews spent Tuesday night focusing on clearing arterial and primary roads in the city.

He says the past five to six weeks have been busy and says his crews are looking forward to a break.
