Fargo police announce 4 arrests in "drug robbery" shooting death of 16-year-old James Moore

(Fargo, ND) -- Fargo Police have announced the arrests of 4 people wanted in connection with the shooting death of 16-year-old West Fargo resident James Moore. 

"Through interviews of witnesses and those involved, we feel confident in saying that this incident was a drug robbery, and actions taken by individuals who participated in that drug transaction led to the death of James Moore," said Captain Bill Ahlfeldt, while speaking at a press conference Wednesday afternoon at Fargo City Hall.

Ahlfeldt identified the 4 men arrested as 41-year-old Fargo resident Marcus McCuin, 36-year-old Moorhead resident Tommie Trent, 19-year-old West Fargo resident Fabian Scott, and 31-year-old Fargo resident Marcus Rexrode.  

Moore was shot and killed the night of May 22nd in Fargo, in the 4400 block of 9th Avenue S. 

Because of the circumstances of the alleged crime all four suspects named Wednesday are facing murder charges.

Police say the investigation is ongoing say there could be more arrests in the case.
