(Fargo, ND) -- The Fourth of July is a week away and the beginning of fireworks selling season is now underway.

Consumer fireworks can only be sold for the Fourth in North Dakota between June 27th and July 5th. Officials advise anyone buying fireworks to check with the local fire department to learn about laws in their community. Many cities including Fargo and Grand Forks ban the use of most consumer fireworks.
