(Fargo, ND) -- A man convicted of brutally murdering a teenage girl in Fargo has lost his appeal.

In 2021, 14-year-old Jupiter Paulsen was robbed, stabbed, beaten, and strangled to death in the parking lot of a business. Later that day, 24-year-old Arthur Kollie was arrested for her murder, and he was eventually tried and sentenced to life in prison without parole. Kollie later filed an appeal on various grounds, citing double jeopardy from two charges related to the attack, several unrecorded sidebars during his trial, along with video of Jupiter when she was still alive being played at the trial.

On Thursday, the North Dakota Supreme Court ruled against Kollie's appeal on all grounds, and he will continue serving his life sentence. You can learn more by clicking here
