(BARNES COUNTY) -- A 35-year-old Bismarck man is dead following an early Friday morning crash on I-94 in Barnes County.
The Highway Patrol says 35-year-old Cameron Davis Red Bird was walking westbound in the middle of the right lane of I-94 near milepost 299, five miles east of Valley City, when he was struck by a 2019 Freightliner, driven by 46-year-old Chad Heller of West Fargo. The semi slowed and stopped on the shoulder facing west.
Red Bird was pronounced deceased on scene.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the incident.
