NDSU students and faculty protest cuts to provost's office

(Fargo, ND) -- Department realignment continues at North Dakota State University as the university tackles budget cuts.

The latest target of cuts is the Provost's Office, which focuses on enrollment, the student experience, quality teaching, and research. Dozens of professors and students came out yesterday to protest the elimination of several female administrators. This includes the Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs & Equity. The position was held by Dr. Canan Bilen-Green, who will go back to teaching in the engineering department.

"I continue to welcome and support everyone in our campus community to engage in healthy and productive conversations," NDSU President Dr. David Cook shared in a statement.
