Governor Kristi Noem invites California gun owners and manufacturers to move to South Dakota

(Pierre, SD)  --  South Dakota is responding to California's newly signed gun laws. '

Republican Governor Kristi Noem is inviting California gun manufacturers and law-abiding gun owners to move to her state.

It comes after multiple new gun bills were signed into law by Democratic California Governor Gavin Newsom.  

Those include tax increases on firearm and ammunition purchases, an excise tax on gun manufacturers, as well as tighter restrictions to concealed carry laws.  

Noem posted a quote on social media that said, "Why live in a state where your Second Amendment rights are infringed?"
