(Moorhead, MN) -- A Hawley man is in custody after Red River Valley SWAT says he violated a restraining order by attempting to access an apartment twice with weapons.

The Moorhead Police Department says they were called to an apartment building in the 1600 block of Second Avenue South for a report of a disturbance. Authorities then learned Brandon Loock attempted to enter an apartment, and displayed a handgun when he was refused. Additionally, Loock was caught on video ringing the doorbell of the unit while holding a large knife. The Red River Valley Swat team was called to take Loock into custody at his Hawley residence.

Loock is facing 2nd degree assault with a weapon and misdemeanor restraining order violation charges.
