(Horace, ND) -- The Horace Fire Department says it desperately needs a ladder truck.

The Department says many of the recently constructed buildings are too tall for the ladders they currently use. Additionally, the Fire Department says now get about 300 calls each year, with an average of 100 yearly calls on average from just a few years ago. They say the problem will only get bigger as the city continues to grow.

The Department is currently looking at an older, used ladder truck that is expected to cost about $150,000, and hopes to get grant money to pay for it.
