(Fargo, ND) – The North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation (NDBCI) released its investigation findings Thursday into the officer involved shooting and subsequent death of the shooting suspect, Mohamad Barakat; Fargo Police Officer, Jake Wallin; and the injuries of Fargo Police Officers Tyler Hawes and Andrew Dotas, along with Karlee Koswick.

Among the findings released was a detailed timeline of the movement of Barakat on the day before and the hours leading up to the deadly shooting on July 14.

The NDBCI report begins at 8:53 p.m. on July 13, when cameras showed a tactical vest on the floor. Nearly two hours later, Barakat was spotted checking the door to his apartment, with his gun and cell phone in his hand, after which he goes to the bedroom. Less than an hour later, Barakat is seen assembling a short-barreled shotgun.

At just after 12 a.m. on July 14, he is seen with a Quran in his hand.

More than nine hours later, at 9:32 a.m., Barakat is seen holding an AK-47 along with a short-barreled rifle. Four minutes later, he grabbed a suitcase and was seen minutes later with a small pistol in his hand.

Barakat leaves his apartment at 10:16 a.m. with the rifle case, suitcase and another bag. He then secures the door with a strap. Three minutes later, he loads the firearms into the garage, and then proceeds to bring his vehicle into the garage, after which the door closes.

He begins driving around Fargo, and ends up at the Casselton Gun Range at 10:48 a.m., spending 21 minutes at the range, before shopping in Casselton. At just before noon, Barakat returns to the apartment garage in Fargo.

At 12:09 p.m., Barakat leaves the garage in his vehicle and drives throughout town for approximately 10 minutes, when he returns to the garage, and spends more than 30 minutes talking to a female, who has since been identified and interviewed by the FBI.

He returns to the apartment two more times, leaving for the final time at 2:31 p.m., just 11 minutes before the accident happens near the intersection of 9th Avenue and 25th Street.

He enters the area near the accident at 2:53 p.m., 12 minutes before the shots fired call from Fargo Police Officer Zachary Robinson.

At 3:04 p.m., Barakat begins opening fire. Three minutes later, Robinson took down the suspect.
