(Fargo, ND) — It may not be Valentine’s Day yet but officials in Fargo have long been working on plans for the annual St. Patrick’s Day parade.
Security is a prime focus for a big event like the parade which draws thousands of people to downtown Fargo.
Officials say last summer’s shooting death of Fargo Officer Jake Wallin has prompted a step up in security measures.
There will be an advanced presence of first responders and meetings are being held to coordinate improved communication between joint command and staff.
