(Fargo, ND) — A Semi-truck fire on I-29 Monday afternoon temporarily impacted Northbound traffic.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol says the incident happened after 4 p.m., when the driver of the Semi pulled over and attempted to put out the flames themselves with an extinguisher. A state patrol trooper then pulled over and used their extinguisher, successfully ending the fire in the vehicle’s axle. The Fargo Fire Department used water to prevent further damage and a possible restart on the blaze.
Damage was limited only to the axle and tires of the semi. No injuries were reported.
