(GRAND FORKS, ND/EAST GRAND FORKS, MINN) — Approximately 20 volunteers and staff with the American Red Cross Eastern North Dakota and Western Minnesota Chapter converged on Grand Forks, N.D., and East Grand Forks, Minn., on Saturday to take part in the chapter’s annual Sound the Alarm campaign.
This Sound the Alarm event is a critical part of the national Red Cross Home Fire Campaign, which has helped save at least 2,000 lives across the country — since launching in October 2014.
“You never know when a home fire will impact your or loved ones. They happen every day – I encourage people to take advantage of the Sound The Alarm program and share it with their loved ones,” American Red Cross Eastern North Dakota and Western Minnesota Chapter Executive Director Kimberly Vosseteig said. “By having American Red Cross install and educate on what to do when a fire happens, it’s an invaluable gift.”
