Armstrong keynotes UND Law School graduation

(GRAND FORKS, ND) – A 2003 graduate of the University of North Dakota’a School of Law, North Dakota Governor Kelly Armstrong returned to the place he graduated from – the University of North Dakota – where he spoke to the graduating class of the University’s Law School.

He reflected on his time at the University of North Dakota, where he earned a bachelor’s degree before the law degree. He also spoke about the possible career fields that graduates may go into – he was a criminal defense attorney before joining Congress and his current role.

“There are a lot of other unofficial titles you may assume,” he said. “There are a lot of official and unofficial titles in the practice of law, but I always just preferred lawyer.”

Armstrong referred to the lawyer as ‘an opportunity to change people’s lives.’

In closing, he told students to live and embrace in their lives.

“Weird things are going to happen,” Armstrong said. “Enjoy the ride.”
