BISMARCK, ND – Governor Kelly Armstrong is preventing lawmaker immunity as part of several proposed bills.
The bill would reportedly give lawmakers immunity for voting on legislation involving any conflict of interest. The Governor called the proposal flawed.
Armstrong used a line-item veto to eliminate the bills and highlighted the state’s checks and balances system.
