Authorities respond to I-29 incident

FARGO, ND — Traffic was diverted for a short time Thursday afternoon in Fargo as authorities responded to a mental health call near the area of 52nd Avenue South and I-29.

North Dakota Highway Patrol Captain Bryan Niewind tells Flag Family News that his agency responded to assist Fargo Police after they were called to a report of a male experiencing a mental health emergency. The Patrol assisted with traffic control, diverting motorists around the area for a period of time.

“The situation has been resolved and the road has reopened,” Neighborhood Services Lt. Matt Siders said. “There’s no additional information to be released.”
